Request appointment with PetDesk
As an essential service, we continue to be open for necessary pet health needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please follow the recommendations and updates from Alberta Health Services.
Our hours are temporarily reduced to Monday 8:30 am to 6:00 pm and Tuesday -Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will be closed all Saturdays until further notice. This will allow for full staffing during operational hours to deal with the increased demands of appointment management and disinfecting requirements.
We are taking steps to keep our clients and staff healthy. This includes frequent hand washing and disinfecting of high touch areas, use of exam gloves and face masks, following physical distancing protocols and avoiding cash transactions.
Our door will be locked during operational hours. Clients will be allowed in the clinic one at a time to transfer their pet to our staff or to use the payment terminal. Please put on a face mask before entering the clinic. When you arrive at the clinic, please phone us from your vehicle. If you have an appointment, we will get the history from you, unlock the door for pet transfer, and examine your pet while you wait in your vehicle. Once the examination is complete, the veterinarian will phone to discuss diagnostic and treatment plans.
Please call ahead if you require food or prescriptions. These items can be paid for with an email transfer and delivered to the parking lot for pickup when you arrive.
In order to reduce transmission risks and handling of medications, we will no longer be splitting tablets. We recommend using a pill splitter or small side cutters for splitting tablets if your pet requires less than a whole tablet.
If someone in your household is sick or in isolation, do not come to the clinic for ANY reason!
Instead, have a healthy friend or family member from outside your home pick up prescriptions if needed.
Non prescription items, such as pet food, can be ordered from our online store at https://bellerive.clientvantage.ca/ and delivered to your door within a day or two.
If your pet has an emergency, please notify us (or an emergency clinic if after hours) of the situation and have a non-quarantined friend or family member deliver your pet the veterinary clinic. Please keep in mind that the surface of your pet will be considered a possible source of infection and it is of the utmost importance that the people handling your pet are made aware of this so precautions can be taken to minimize the risks to the person attending with the pet and the veterinary staff caring for the pet.
